Terms and Conditions of Service
Welcome to my practice. These Terms and Conditions govern the therapeutic relationship and the services provided by EP4Therapy - Elisa Pezzotti, Psychopraticienne. By booking a session, you agree to these terms.
1. Purpose of the Service
The sessions provided are for emotional support, personal development and overall well-being. Please note that a psychopraticienne provides complementary therapeutic care and does not prescribe medication, perform medical acts or replace the advice of a medical doctor or psychiatrist. In France, the title psychopraticien is used by professionals who practice psychotherapy, but do not hold the legally regulated titles of psychologue (psychologist) or psychiatre (psychiatrist).
2. Consultation Formats
Online Video Sessions: Regular sessions are conducted online. It is the client's responsibility to ensure a stable internet connection, functioning equipment and a quiet, private space to maintain confidentiality.
In-Person Sessions: In-person sessions are available on demand and are subject to location availability and prior arrangement.
3. Appointments and Bookings
Sessions can be booked via phone, email or my website.
Each standard session lasts approximately 50 minutes.
4. Services and Pricing
Fees vary depending on the type of therapeutic service provided (Individual Therapy, Couple Therapy, Therapy for Youth/Minors).
Payments must be made at the time of booking or at the end of the session via bank transfer or credit card.
5. Underage Clients (Minors)
Because the title psychopraticien is an open label and not a state-regulated medical title in France (unlike a psychiatre or psychologue), there are important nuances regarding parental consent and clinical scope:
Therapy for individuals under the age of 18 requires the explicit consent of their legal guardians (both parents or legal representatives).
Parents or legal guardian must sign a consent form prior to the first session.
While the content of the sessions remains strictly confidential to build trust with the minor, legal guardians will be kept informed of the general progress of the therapy and will be notified immediately if there is any concern regarding the minor's safety or well-being.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
24-Hour Notice: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours before your appointment.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Life can be unpredictable, and genuine emergencies are handled with understanding. However, except in cases of force majeure, sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or missed without communication may be charged at the standard rate.
Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time to respect the next client. The full session fee remains due.
7. Confidentiality and Professional Ethics
All sessions are strictly confidential. Your personal information and the contents of our discussions will not be shared with anyone, except as required by law (e.g., if there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others).
I adhere to a strict ethical code of conduct, ensuring respect, active listening, non-judgment and benevolence.
8. Data Protection (GDPR Compliance)
Any personal data collected (name, contact details, brief notes, parental consent forms) is kept securely and solely for the management of your care. In accordance with data protection laws, you have the right to access, rectify, or request the deletion of your data at any time.
9. Termination of Therapy
You are free to stop the therapy at any time. I highly recommend discussing this during a session so we can bring the therapeutic process to a proper and constructive close.
